The Petroleum Analysis Centre was an independent organization aimed at the better understanding of global hydrocarbon supply, both past and prospective. In particular, the Centre indicated sources of reliable data for modelling oil and gas production and depletion, identifies a number of forecasts based on these data and discusses a range of wider energy-related issues. From January 2015 to Autumn 2017 the Centre published The Oil Age, a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal covering these topics. The centre was based in Ireland and was founded by Dr. Colin Campbell, Jeremy Gilbert, Richard O’Rourke, Dr. Colin Sage and Dr. Roger Bentley.
Upon ceasing operations in 2022, The Petroleum Analysis Centre asked Post Carbon Institute to house its archives.
